Reconstruction of Kerime Hatun Mosque

Kerime Hatun Mosque, which is owned by the General Directorate of Foundations in Çengelköy neighborhood of Üsküdar District, is located at the intersection of Kemalettin Tuğcu and Kalantor streets and was built in 1658 by Kapı Ağası Ahmet Ağa in the name of his late mother Kerime Hatun. The mosque, which was built on filled ground, was built with a rubble stone wall system and its walls cracked over time due to earthquakes, climate conditions and incorrect interventions, its minaret was dismantled and while the tender was made to our company by the 2nd Regional Directorate of Foundations. Reconstruction application is continuing by dismantling the remaining part of the existing mosque in accordance with the reconstruction project and adding a basement floor.
