Reconstruction of Arakiyeci Hacı Cafer Çelebi Mosque
The mosque, located at the intersection of Divitçiler Street and Kör Bakkal Street in Üsküdar district, was built by a philanthropist named Mehmet Ağa who died in 1537. The mosque was renovated by Arakiyeci Hacı Cafer Çelebi in 1605. Its minaret was demolished during the construction of additions with donations from the public in 1996. The mosque, which has a single balcony and a single minaret, lost its load-bearing capacity as a result of incorrect interventions and was completely dismantled as a result of cracks and collapses observed in its main walls and its reconstruction was carried out by our company together with the addition of a reinforced concrete basement floor.
